Chatti Bariatu Coal mining project started its coal production today in the august presence of Deputy Commissioner Hazaribagh Smt. Nancy Sahay, Superintendent of Police Sh. Manoj Ratan Chothe and Regional Executive Director, NTPC Coal Mining, Sh. Partha Mazumder. On this historical occasion, Regional Executive Director, NTPC Coal Mining, Sh. Partha Mazumder extended warm wishes for the start of coal production in the presence of the General Manager of Chatti Bariatu Sh. B.M. Singh and General Manager of Kerandari Project, Sh. Faiz Taiyab, General Manager Sh. Tarun Konar (T.S) and all the officers, and employees of the Chatti Bariatu and Kerandari coal mining projects. With this Chatti-Bariatu Coal Mining project has joined the series of coal-producing mines of NTPC along with Pakri Barwadih, Dulanga and Talaipalli coal mining projects.

Deputy Commissioner Smt. Nancy Sahay and Superintendent of Police Sh. Manoj Ratan Chothe congratulated and extended their best wishes to the NTPC Regional Executive Director, Sh. Partha Mazumder, and all the officers of the project for the start of coal production in CB CMP.

Chatti Bariatu Coal mining project now is the fourth-running coal mine of NTPC. And it's a great achievement that the mining work of the Chatti Bariatu Coal Mining Project was started on 25.04.2022 and within a span of 1 month from the start of mining work, the project touched the coal seam on 21.05.2022. All the credit for this achievement of the project goes to the full cooperation of the District Administration, NTPC Management, the villagers and all the employees of the project.
